Hein Kaiser Changing Lives

A career that spans across near 2 decades, Hein Kaiser is an accomplished professional in the Commercial Marketing and Communication, Corporate and Public Affairs, Journalism and Broadcast sectors. Presently consulting to various enterprises, Hein’s cross-sectoral experience and outcomes-based approach to strategy and implementation has seen him add significant value to several brands and organisations during his career.


He has worked across continental markets including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania and Ghana amongst others and internationally (remotely) for corporates and brands in Kuwait, UAE, United States, United Kingdom and consulted for an Australian aviation economist. Hein’s campaigns have received 28 PRISM awards. More recently he redeveloped the commercial, marketing and communication strategy for a restaurant franchise, implemented initiatives for same, to guide the business through the Covid-19 crisis successfully and, with 24% growth in scale and 18% revenue growth.


Hein was a launch team member at Mango and helped steer the brand for 12 years. Experience includes Nestle FMCG brands, MTN, SAB, Absa, SAA, Mozambik, Motorola, Edcon, FNB Homeloans, Fastjet, Phumelela, NAS, Bowman Gilfillan, Law Society, Leppan Beech, Caesar’s Entertainment, Netcare, Allenby Campus, Jacaranda FM and more including various Heads of State. Hein was also the author of the CSI, Marketing and Communication segment of the SAA Long-Term Turnaround Strategy and its 90-Day Action Plan, which he also successfully implemented at the time, integrating and realignment of form and function in a dysfunctional business area.


Hein has hosted the MixFM 360 Brunch on weekends for 11 years to date with 4 Liberty Radio Award nominations, the Media and Marketing Show on MixFM enjoyed 4 annual seasons and 3 award nominations. Prior to his tenure at MixFM, he has produced for 5FM, presented on SAFM and was a field reporter for Cape Talk. He is also a voice-over artist with several corporate videos and advertising campaigns completed. Hein has conceptualized, produced and scripted several dozen corporate videos, TV news, magazine and actuality inserts and EPK’s.


Journalism credits include various magazines, including Maxim, Thandi, Essentials and Personality with newspaper credits The Star and Saturday Star, Sunday Times, Sunday Independent, Argus and Independent on Saturday. Hein continues to write and provide photography for The Citizen.
